97% Work completed on Lyari Expressway, Karachi, Pakistan

 

Radio Pakistan has reported Ninety-seven percent work has been completed on Lyari Expressway that will be opened for traffic by end of next month.

National Highway Authority spokesman, Kashif Zaman told APP today, that from Sindhi Hotel to Teen Hatti Section structure work and Asphalt Wearing Course had been completed and expansion joints work is in full progress. The work at Manghopir Interchange and Manghopir- Mewa Shah Section is also in full swing.

He said the expressway is designed to relieve traffic congestion in Karachi and its revised construction cost is over nine billion rupees.
